Lauren Fowler, Shelby Daniele, Meagen Lowe and Corie Smith helped lead host Buchanan to its fifth straight Central Section Masters team title and 10th overall with a 170-84 victory over Bakersfield Liberty at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif.  Daniele prevailed in three events, winning the 100 (11.82), 200 (24.36) and was part of the victorious 4x100 relay (46.73). Fowler was also part of the 4x100 relay, in addition to finishing second in the 100 (12.21) and long jump (18-5.50).  The sophomore also finished fourth in the 200 (25.50). Lowe won the 1,600 (4:50.80) and the 3,200 (10:29.65), with Smith finishing second in the 3,200 (10:30.42) for the Bears, who equaled the achievement of the Buchanan boys (2009-13) by becoming the only teams in section history to win five years in a row.
