Maddie Passmore, a junior at Buchanan High, contributed to a 4x100-meter relay victory in 47.14 seconds, as the Bears won their sixth straight girls team title and 11th overall with 154 points at the CIF Central Section Masters meet, also known as the Valley Championships, at Veterans Memorial Stadium at Buchanan High in Clovis. Passmore also placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 37-7.25 (11.46m) and finished fourth in the long jump with a leap of 17-6.25 (5.34m) for Buchanan, in addition to taking ninth in the 100-meter dash in a wind-legal 12.50.
